Is the date of birth stored when the user signs up and I require the DOB under for COPPA(?) ?

I think there was also a year added to the Birthday hack that I might add since I'm lookig for demographics of my users... anyone have any better ideas?

The DOB for the new user and COPPA is stored in a cookie and never used after the user has signed in. This is basically to prevent kids from trying to sign in and then going back to change the year/date.

The birthday modification does not have (at the moment) the year modification but I was working on something last night. I expect to have something ready for next week.

I made a birthday hack for my boards that uses one data field for the birthdate.
Users can choose, wether their year of birth should be displayed or not.
It has nearly the same functionality as JoshPet's birthday hack, only the storage of the birthdate ist a bit different.
I could send you the code snippets, cause i won't be able to write some instructions until the next weekend.

That would be good.

I have altered Josh's Profile Birthdays modification found here to include years in the profile. If you also have the calendar modification you can have their age shown in brackets when their birthday is due.

If you need anything more, please move the discussion to that thread. You mentioned something about reports....
