Need some insight. Trying to make a news section that I, and I alone, will post to, therefore I opened it to accept HTML. My goal is to receive Press Releases in HTML and cut and paste into a post.

I have 2 questions...

1 - Seems that is I drop a table into the post, for some reason the post appears to be several lines down from the top of post area? This is seen HERE

2 - If I place strict HRML in the post area, the special characters do not show up, instead I get the Unicode value. This can be seen HERE in the bold header and italic areas.

Any help appreciated.

1) Try to remove any linefeeds before inserting the html code in your posting. threads converts any linefeed to "<br />" which messes up your table code

Here is the exact code for the table that drops down several lines. Would I need some sort of Top code to place my table in the top of the threads built table... assuming Threads builds a table to place the code into.

<TABLE bgcolor="ffffff" CELLPADDING="2">
<TR>
<TD><IMG SRC="../p/asm.jpg" WIDTH="202" HEIGHT="289" ALIGN="Middle">
</TD>
<TD><P ALIGN=Center>
<FONT COLOR="#800000"><BIG><B>Win a set of Pirelli Diablo
tires!</B></BIG></FONT>
<P ALIGN=Center>
Thanks to <BR>
Pirelli Tires<BR>
and <BR>
SportbikeS.com<BR>
you have a chance at wiinning a set of the newly designed Diablos.
<P ALIGN=Center>
Pirelli is winning hundreds of races every year...
<A HREF="http://www.esportbike.com/pirelli/index.html">Find out more details now</A></TD>
</TR>
</TABLE>

Try to put all that in one line Mike. That will probably fix it

Warm regards

Quite honestly, Threads is terrible for posting in HTML format. The problem's you are are mentioning are the reason for this request.

dimopoulos,

Thanks! That did the trick for the spacing issue!
