Adding files and Avatars is not working. I have them set in the configuration file and the tests work properly, but uploading does not work and in the My Home section of Edit Profile, you are not given the chance to upload your avatar. Any suggestions? The directories the files go into are set to 777 at this time.

Did you overwrite your configure file? In the configure file you can set the path to the folder where the picture uploads go and provide an url to them. This folder also needs to be world writable as well as readable.

[]in the My Home section of Edit Profile, you are not given the chance to upload your avatar[/] There's an option in the theme settings that you have to set, as well as the paths in the config settings.

Yep, I went through all of the config and theme settings and introduced the proper paths. here is what I have in my config. If I am missing a piece in this, please let me know and I will put it in here. <br />// Allow the image markup tag.<br /> $config['allowimages']= 1;<br /><br /> // If allowing pictures you can also let users upload these pictures to your<br /> // server. By specifying a path this will allow users to upload .gif, .jpg<br /> // or .png files to that directory. You must make the directory<br /> // world_writeable as well. If no path specified, then users will need to<br /> // provide a url to their picture.<br /> $config['avatars'] = "/home/httpd/html/sdsr/ubbthreads/avatars";<br /><br /> // If a path was specified above, we need to know the full url to that<br /> // directory (Partial url will not work)<br /> $config['avatarurl'] = "http://www.importboard.com/avatars";<br /><br /> // If allowing users to upload their pictures, enter the maximum size<br /> // in bytes.<br /> $config['avatarsize'] = "8000";<br /><br /> // Allow File Attachemnts. If you provide a path to a directory below<br /> // then File Attachments will be allowed. If you leave it blank, then they<br /> // will not. Make sure this directory is writeable by everyone<br /> $config['files'] = "/home/httpd/html/sdsr/ubbthreads/files";<br /><br /> // We also need the url to the files directory<br /> $config['fileurl'] = "http://www.importboard.com/files";<br /><br /> // Do you want to only allow certain file types, or exclude certain file<br /> // types? Only uncomment one of the following. Seperate your filetypes with<br /> // a ,<br /> $config['allowfiles'] = ".gif,.jpg,.txt,.zip,.png";<br /><br /> // Maximum filesize allowed<br /> $config['filesize'] = "100000";<br /><br /><br /> and here is what I have in the Theme config: <br /><br /><br />// Allow users to add a picture to their profile<br /> $theme['PictureView']= "1";<br /><br />// If allowing users to add pictures, what is the maximum width allowed<br /> $theme['PictureWidth'] = "80";<br /><br />// If allowing users to add pictures, what is the maximum width allowed<br /> $theme['PictureHeight'] = "80";<br /><br /><br /> And also I did not copy over the config/theme files after my initial new 6.1.1 install over to 6.2

$config['avatarurl'] = "http://www.importboard.com/avatars"; $config['fileurl'] = "http://www.importboard.com/files"; Are you sure those URLs are correct? I would have expected at least one more directory in those URLs, unless you have some kind of mapping set up. ------- Edit: I was able to access those URLs, so I guess that's ok. Can you post the main URL to your board?

yes they are correct because the home structure is:
/home/httpd/html/sdsr/ubbthreads/avatars /home/httpd/html/sdsr/ubbthreads/files
I just put those in the same dir as the main ubbthreads install

I don't have time to pursue this right now, so submitting an Infopop support ticket might get you a faster response.
