I am sure you guys are pretty annoyed with all of these dumb questions lately so please bear with me. Ever since I rebuilt the server, and reinstalled 6.1.1, it has taken a long time for some people to connect. Example being just coming to a new post page, takes up to a minute for it to load, while some other pages don't. Remember, this onlyhappens to some individuals.

Would I have perhaps made some mistake configuring the server, apache, or PHP?

Persistent connections? Try turning them off. Also, it might be that some people have whacky browser settings.

Have you duplicated this?

I am able to duplicate this at work while on my cable connection at home I am fine. Also, persistent connections is off as well as turning referer check off.

Logic would suggest that since it happens on specific computers and not on others then it is a user problem and not the site, could be a firewall, proxy server anything really.

Ask your netadmin at work, maybe they run something that could effect it. Atleast you could then warn folks.

thank you, I will look into it. Just seems odd that before I rebuilt this server to redhat 7.3, I didn't have this problem, but now I do so I an confused as all heck.

btw, AOL users have the same problem. Scream, is there anything going on in the script that would have a problem with referer checking? This only happens on this script. I can run perl and the likes, and things are super fast.
