Hello,

I would really like to use UBB.threads for my site. But there's one thing I would really need to have: an ignore function similar to the one in vB. Basically any user can add others to an ignore list, and this hides the ignored users' posts. Are there any mods that accomplish this?

No mods for this yet... although we have talked about it.

The biggest obsticle is how to deal with ignored posts without "breaknig" threaded mode.

How does VB handle replies to ignored posts? Or do they only have a flat mode?

In flat mode, vB replaces the body of the post with a message that says something like "You have ignored this user. Click here to view this post." The link pops up a window with only that post. vB 3.0 has threaded mode, I think it does the same thing for ignored posts in that.

So it doesn't hide the post entirely, it just hides the body of the post, which is what I would prefer.

Oh that's a cool way to deal with it.... because even if you ignore a user... you may want to see a post without having to un-ignore the user.

This is something I've always wanted to create. Don't know if I'll ever have the time to play with it or enough know how to do so LOL.

I've seen an ignore mod for phpBB somewhere also, I'll try to find it...I haven't seen it in action though, but I recall reading that it was based on vB's ignore function.

I came to the site looking for this mod too now. Users are asking for this on my forums now, and I think its a great idea. Hope i can find some info on adding this. Was REALLY hoping to find a mod here for it, but maybe there isnt one yet?
