I have done a search but cannot find an answer or I am not searching the right way. My boards do not show to whom you are replying to. They only show the post subject. Is this an easy fix for a not too savvy computer person?

That was removed in 6.2 to save Database Queries.

Thanks for the answer, but I think I screwed up royaly. I opened the showflat.php in frontpage with notepad and made the changes. I saved it and now whenever I open a thread, it shows the showflat.php file. HELP!!! I did back up the original and pasted it, but same thing.

damn, do you have the original set of files that you downloaded? If so, just upload your old showflat.php file and all should be well....

I copid and pasted them to a notepad file. I don't know how to save it as a folder.

When you unzipped your original set of files that you got from infopop they should be there unless you have overwritten them... If that's the case then you can unzip your program files again and upload showflat.php again. If you don't have them just head to the members area at infopop and grab the program again...

Yeah, use a straight text editor to edit them, or else you'll get some odd special characters.

I always duplicate the file before I modify.... so if you make a mistake you can always put it back and try again.

LOL I just did the quick reply mod and the reply to who mod has disappeared. I used the original showflat.php file to do the mod. Do I put the reply to who over the quick reply or do I put the quick reply mod over the reply to who mod? I used version 2.2 for the quick reply mod. TIA

BTW When I tried to quick reply just now, I got a Post has been deleted error here.

Somehow it's installed wrong here. That's why you get the error. I've been running it fine at mine.

Do the reply to who mod first... then when you do the Quick Reply mod.... the part will be a little bit different. Basically you are going to put the <span> tags before and after the $Subject.

$Subject will no longer be a hyperlink, so it looks a bit different.

I haven't updated with your latest code. When I switch us over to 6.2.1 I'll update it. Maybe next weekend I can get us up to speed.

Yeah, I think a couple of different hacks weren't playing nice... but we refined it a bit since then.

Before you update here... I can give you what I've got for the "next generation" quick reply.... if I don't get it posted before then. That offers a pull down for post icon, and the pop up graemlin box.

OK, I must be stupid. LOL I hate to keep bugging you guys but I can't even find the first step to do in the reply to who modified showflat.php file to do the quickreply box mod. I am very new to this but I can follow directions well if they are black and white. Is there a set of instructions somewhere that tells what to change when doing the quick reply mod over the reply to who mod? I though I could figure out what JoshPet was telling me but I can't. Like I said, I hate to keep bugging you but I really like these two mods. I would appreciate any help offered. Thanks, Rick
