I made changes to the following templates: newpost.tmpl; newreply.tmpl
I removed the following:
$htmlstatus
$markupstatus
$markupselect
$instant_ubbcode
in order to simplify the interface.

Now when users try to post or reply, they get an error message: The script error is: Line 143, object expected
The line of code is:
<textarea cols="60" rows="5" class="formboxes" name="Body" onkeyup="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);"></textarea>

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem as soon as possible? We are hosting a live course in South Asia with novice users and we need the interface to be as simple as possible, but more important we can't have error messages. I could revert back to the original tmpl, but prefer not to. I would like to know how to remove the extras ubbcode without getting errors.

Remove the following code from the line:

onkeyup="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);"

Excellent. I thought this was the problem, but didn't want to make any further mistakes without asking some experts. Thanks!
