First off hello, thing this is my first post. Usually lurk Setting ubbt for a friend and "trying" to get ubbtnrews.php to function the way its suppose to. However regardless of what group as access to the board I get this error:

with lines 128-133 being:

Do you get any output when you bring the file up into your browser? Did you set the settings at the top of the file? And what version threads are you trying to run this on?

the only output i get is that error message. i tried to comment out some sections in the mysql.inc.php file so it would show a more accurate error. but all that was shown was nothing. just Error: witha blank part followed by the same next line.

yeah the ubbtnews has all the setting set.

ok figured that it was my path to the file that was wrong alterd it and now i dont get an error. yay!

yet the file is blank. i know it works im using the same one *minus path/name changes* on another site.

What forum do you have it set to pull news items from?

its set to $newsboard = 'news';

And you have a news forum on your site? It sounds like you are trying to pull news from a forum that doesn't exist.

well i had a friend of mine take a look see due my obviously oversight to something that i wasnt finding an answer to. for whatever reason the $path info was incorrect, even though i had tried the varient that he ending up using that solved the problem. go figure. i should lay off the early AM attempts. lol. much thanks for the assistance.
