This was working fine for a long, long time. I didn't change anything (that i can think of) and all of a sudden:

I would check with your host. If your username/password hasn't been changed, then there is probably a problem with the MySQL server.
All those errors really have nothing to do with anything. They are a result of not being able to connect. Once you can't connect (Can't connect to MySQL server on '63.161.3.226'), everything else will produce an error just because there's no connection.

yeah i just can't figure out why it can't connect. Its on my own server and as far as I know the password never changed. I'll try to reset it though. Thanks.

Hmmm....
It may be an issue with php.... as it's saying PHP can't connect.
It's kind of our of my area of expertise. You could double check the php.ini file as well.
Do you have any other scripts that are using MySQL? Does PHPMyAdmin work?

fixed it. Don't know what happened but I just re-installed mySQL.

I had the same thing happening to me. I am running MySQL 4.0.11 and we had a power cut. The minute the server booted up again, MySQL was corrupted :S
A reinstallation fixed it.
Just in case you can run a repair tables after a backup.
