Is there a file that lists what .php and .tmpl files contain what information (besides just the filename)? It seems whenever I want to change something on my board I have to come and ask here which file to change...I just don't want to be a burden... If not, which files contain the registration email text, new user welcome message (PM) text, and the lost password email text? Mine are pretty generic. Thanking you in advance, --Steve

[]I just don't want to be a burden...[/] Well, you could volunteer to go through all the files and compile documentation on what's in each file. Those texts are in the language files, I believe. I don't have the time right now to look, but someone else will probably provide more specifics.

It's actually pretty easy. The php file that you are on is in the url window of your browser, and the template for it has the same name. Right now, as I type this post, I'm using the newreply.php file. The template that it uses is newreply.tmpl and it's located in the templates/default directory (along with all the other templates).
There are some templates that are used to build pieces of menus, but for the most part you probably won't dig into them.

That makes sense...I didn't think to look at the URL for the file name. How about for the text that gets sent out in email messages (new registration, temp password, etc.) and the text for the Private Message that a new member receives? I checked through all the files in the languages/english dir and didn't see anything that contained the text I'm looking for. Thanking you in advance... --Steve

The text for new user registration is in languages/english/adduser.php
The text for PM notification is in languages/english/sendmessage.php
