Hi All just wanted to pass on that Redhat Linux 9.0 has been released and is downloadable to currently licensed users (not sure when the public release will be). I am currently using 8.0 and after a few glitches with PHP have found it to be extremely stable. If anyone gets 9.0 up and running I would be interested in any comments on it.
Erm upgraded kernal to 2.4.2 a bunch of rpm changes and a couple more graphical enhancements. I did not see anything that would make me want to jump in and upgrade my server tho since I have it running great on 8.0 now. but if someone has tried it or is testing it, it would be nice to here how it is and what any changes they notice are (notice how I skirted the issue somewhat hehe)
for server use, as long as you keep up with the kernel updates and other important fixes you are essentially running RH 9 just minus a lot of the fancy GUI and some RPM updates. But for a home user it would be worth the upgrade. Although at home I enjoy Mandrake
