I'm having users of my message board. (ubb.threads 6.2.3(IIP 5.3) ) that are using MAC's complaining about the ubbcode "image" option.

They are telling me that as soon as the window pops open asking for a the URL to the image, it freezes their browser from switching to another to copy the image url and come back to paste it. (dont know why they can't copy the url first then click on ubb code "image")

Is this somehing that is fixable?

It doesn't do this on my pc with IE and I tested with Netscape on my pc also.

Thanks in advance

Hmmm..

Ask them specifically what browser they are using.

I use all the browsers on a Mac and don't have any trouble.

I'm guessing it might be a javascript issue.

If I know what browser they are using I can do some testing and see if I can duplicate it.

I didn't have this problem with versino 6. So I downloaded version 7.

Didn't have the problem either.

The UBB Code stuff is javascript... uses the javascript popups etc..

I'd have those having trouble check their browser's settings to make sure it's setup to run the javascript stuff.

Nearest I can tell.... in Netscape on the mac, under preferences, under Advanced... there's a "scripts & Plugins" with a section to "enable javascript" for various things. I'd made sure all those are checked.

I'm not sure if this would affect it, but there is a pop-up stopper in the settings too. They might want to try allowing the popups as the image tag pops up a dialog box. It might be hanging there.
