On v.6.2.1, the "last post" feature (in main index view) is sort of unuseful for high-traffic sites that get a couple postings per minute. Users aren't trying to see the latest posting, just the latest BUNCH of postings, etc.

I'd take it out, but I'm not sure what I'd replace it with, just design-wise. Has anyone made such a tweak? If so, wha'td you put there? Also, any advice for excising this feature would be appreciated.

Hi Jim,

You would need to tweak the ubbthreads.tmpl file so that the last post is not displayed there. According to what you want displayed in its place then you need to modify ubbthreads.php and ubbthreads.tmpl.

I don't recall anyone doing something about that one.
