It's possible to write url to another site with mysql base?

It depends if the mysql server and mysql user is allowed to connect to another host.

If it is... I've seen things like

mysql.mydomain.com

But often the mysql user only has permissions coming from "localhost".

It's possible to use a database from a different host. But you need to set the permissions.

The machine still has to look at /etc/hosts to find where localhost is. If you put the server name and address of the machien you are connecting to via MySQL into /etc/hosts you've made the time even.

Now, if you want to say it should be faster because you don't have to go across a network, even an local one, I would agree with you.

I have already done it Slawek_L. Instead of localhost I use another host - it works with an IP address as well. The only thing is that the username and password that I specify in there should have the appropriate permissions on the threads table.
