I'd like to move the FAQ link to the main page, ubbthreads.

After an initial attempt to do this, I understand that something is being set up in ubbt.inc to handle the possibilities/changes for the FAQ link with the various languages.

Does anyone know offhand what I need to add to ubbthreads.php to get the link for faq to work correctly on the page?

Thanks:)

I feel like such a dork. I start working on something, realize it doesn't work, panic, post here, work on it some more, and then get it working sometimes.

All fixed!

No sweat - some of the best "learning" I've ever done has been solving one of my own problems. It's great to get help - but even better when you start to realize you figured it out on your own.

Pretty soon you'll be helping others. Then "we've got another one."

Recruiters!!!!!!!!

Heh. Yeah, I can't wait

And, I think I'm really on to something with my redesign of some of the templates. I'm very excited about the look. I keep changing and tweaking every second. Very bad addiction.

Good.
Hope you feel like sharing when you are done.

We're going to be redesigning the CSS and Template area here soon to form a "depository" for templates and CSS.

Yeah, I really do want to share this. The thing I'm unsure about, is that I had to tweak some of the php pages to make things work with the template pages. So, it's a lot of work. lmao. Once 6.3 is released, I'm going to update it all for that, and I'll pay more attention to how I do things with documentation.

(If I understand things correctly though, I can include templates in the modification, and then just document the changes in the .php pages, so it shouldn't be too bad.)

And, things look really good, IMHO. I'm guessing that die hard classic users will like the look/feel much more than the current set up.

If anyone is interested, I think I'm close to being done for now, until 6.3 is out.

Looking good.

Yeah, you've got it right - we can post templates - just not scripts - we have to document changes in scripts.

Seems fair enough

Can't wait for 6.3 to be out. Then, the real fun/mess begins.

Having different templates is cool, but it's not nearly as easy as using different CSS files. Hacks require you to change .tmpl files. I find that adding hacks can be somewhat of a headache while not using the stock templates. Upgrading is even worse!!! Too bad Threads didn't integrate templates like CSS. Of course, that would probably be impossible, even for Josh!

Maybe one day Threads will even allow for users to not only pick CSS files, but different templates too.....
