Out of the blue, one of the boards on my forum has just started displaying the following error message:

SQL ERROR: Tue, Jul 08 2003 09:42:21 +0100 Unable to do_query: SELECT t1.B_Number,t1.B_Parent,t2.U_Username,t1.B_Posted,t1.B_Last_Post,t1.B_Subject, t1.B_Main,t1.B_Status,t1.B_Approved,t1.B_Icon,t1.B_Reged,t1.B_Counter, t1.B_Replies,t1.B_Rating,t1.B_Rates,t1.B_RealRating,t2.U_Color,t2.U_Status, t1.B_PosterId,t1.B_File,t2.U_Number,t1.B_Sticky,t1.B_AnonName,t1.B_LastPosterId, t1.B_LastPostNum FROM w3t_Posts AS t1, w3t_Users AS t2 WHERE t1.B_Topic = 1 AND t1.B_Board = 'UBB1' AND t1.B_PosterId = t2.U_Number ORDER BY t1.B_Sticky DESC,t1.B_Last_Post DESC LIMIT 11
Got error 127 from table handler

I have closed down the board and replaced it with another until such time as I can repair it. The rest of the forum is working perfectly and many posts have been made (on the other boards) since the problem materialised.

Any help would be most gratefully appreciated.

127 = Record-file is crashed


I'm not sure what that means. I would try checking/repairing the tables individually, running myisamchk, or dumping/restoring the database with mysqldump.

Repair table would work and as Dave said you can also delete w3t_Posts and restore a backup if the repair does not work. You have a corrupted post. I have seen this error twice once on my forums and once on someone elses. Repair table corrected it on one and delete and restore a backup on another as a last resort.
