Hi,

I think it would be nice to know how large the boards are we are running, which is why I did these polls.

5,000 - 24,999
25,000 - 49,999
50,000 - 99,999

Good idea. My main site has 56,000 posts.

Mine is usually around 50,000 posts, but I delete almost everything after six months, and some forums get cycled every two weeks. That was originally to keep our web host happy, but I took a vote when we moved to our own server, and the users liked having threads deleted regularly. So we still do it.

I wind up deleting about 500 posts every Friday on the short-term boards, and then another 5,000 at the beginning of each month. A few threads get marked for archiving, but I'm pretty picky about what we keep.

My board has ~21000 posts.

I currently have 33,195 posts. My moderators and me are constantly pruning and trimming though.

Biggest thing we do is delete user accounts that are unused after 60 days, we also have some forums that expire threads.
