I am using 30288375 kilobytes per month

I just received the following message and have to move to a dedicated server.

Would the first option be OK? What are other sites charging?
Who is the best option?

[] You'll need to move to your very own dedicated server. We have three
basic models available, the Type A, Type B and Type C. Any one of the
models would work for your site, but of course the Type B would work
better than the Type A and the Type C would work best of all.

The Type A Dedicated Server comes with a Pentium III 1.0 CPU, 512MB of
RAM, 2 Hard Drives (one as the main drive, one as a 24 hour back-up
drive) and Plesk (software that allows you to administrate the server
via a web browser).

The Type B Dedicated Server comes with a Pentium 4 2.0 CPU, 512MB of
RAM, 2 Hard Drives and Plesk.

The Type C Dedicated Server comes with a Pentium 4 2.4 CPU, 1GB
(1024MB) RAM, 2 Hard Drives (one main drive, a live mirror drive and a
24 hour back-up drive) and Plesk.

Charges for the servers are as follows:

Type A:
- Set-up Fee: $99.00
- Monthly Charge: $99.00

Type B:
- Set-up Fee: $199.00
- Monthly Charge: $199.00

Type C:
- Set-up Fee: $299.00
- Monthly Charge: $299.00

Well, if your site is to the point of needing a dedicated server, RAM is going to be your biggest friend. The PIII 1ghz won't be too bad, but the slower chip with not much ram may not leave you much room to grow.

Setup B would be great, if it had 1 GB of ram. See if you can upgrade maybe?

As far as prices, those are pretty much in the ballpark for dedicated servers. There are lots of little things that can make a price lower or higher, etc. Also, dedicated servers tend to leave you pretty much in charge. So if you have no idea how to adminster or work in a linux environment.. you may want to find a server provider that is at least semi-managed, so when you have a problem you can still get help in resolving it.

Either I cannot count or option C has 3 drives, not 2.

Picture perfect penmanship here.

Well we know you can't count. But that's beside the point.

Yeah, looks like that's a sweet deal with 3 drives.
