I did a search on "ubb signature", "signature ubb", "broken signature", and "signature broken" and haven't found anything. What causes this? If you're not familiar with it, here's a current example from my website: <br />[Name color:"orange"]Guardsmen Cadets '86, '87[/Name color] -> Snare, Quadz<br />[Name color:"blue"]Lake Park H.S. '88-'92[/Name color] -> Snare<br />[Name color:"blue"]University of Kentucky '93, '95, '96[/Name color] -> Snare, Quadz, Snare<br />[Name color:"green"]Cavaliers '93-'96[/Name color] -> Snare<br /> Name gets inserted into strategic points.

I've never seen this. Does it display that way - or happen when they edit their profile/sig?

Josh,
It happens when I edit a users profile, such as changing their member status rating using the hack you setup for me.

It has been happening across multiple versions too. This was a problem even before 6.3.

Looks like a bug in /admin/showoneuser.php that breaks the markup code in the signatures. I couldn't figure out the fix myself. I reported it at our development board. Maybe Rick will post a fix.

Very strange. I can't see what may be causing this from a quick glance at the related scripts... sorry.

No it's odd..... it simply uses the undo_markup function. So in that theory.... it should be broken anytime you edit. LOL But it doesn't break in the posts. Only from that admin script.

Well, if I come across it again, I'll note if I was editing the user, and I'll ask the user what they had been doing recently. And I'll take a lovely screenshot too!

So this is related to the way HTML in a post gets broken when you attempt to edit it?

yes - I remember it puzzled me - I broke yours when I edited your profile the other day to change your bean. It's a bug in the undo_markup function. But for some reason - it does OK when you edit the post. But if you edit a user who has color in their signature.... it'll break. I just did a bunch of testing on a clean beta site. Yet it doesn't break in a post.

OK - rick gave me the fix. I just edited your signature and didn't break the colors. Here's the fix: <br />Open /languages/englsih/admin/showoneuser.php<br /><br />Find:<br /><br />$ubbt_lang['COLOR'] = "Name color";<br /><br /><br />Change to this:<br /><br />$ubbt_lang['NAME_COLOR'] = "Name color";<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Open /admin/showoneuser.php<br /><br />Find this:<br /><br /><br /> {$ubbt_lang['COLOR']}<br><br /><br /><br /><br />Change to this:<br /><br /> {$ubbt_lang['NAME_COLOR']}<br><br /><br /><br />
