It all counts the same When you go into your profile on their site you can choose which one (or both) you want to work for.

I'm going to try and install this program on every computer at the college, even though I'm almost certain it won't work (because they probably have programs keeping students from loading programs).

I know at the university I went to and worked at, they would boot from a network HD image. So no matter what you installed, it would be gone upon next reboot. Not sure how common this is, but that may be something to think about

You need to be careful - I seem to recall a legal challenge against someone who did that.
I would suggest you get permission first.

well, you would have to rebuild the image, and only a select few have access to those. But yes, someone who had access could literally have that program running on upwards of 5,000 lab computers

Had to shut mine down... CPU was running a little to hot and I'm waiting until I have enough spare cash to replace the motherboard in my test box, then I'll fire it back up on a mostly dedicated PC.

Way to be Nav. I can't believe that I'm still working on getting to 10k. Of coarse this poor laptop is my workhorse and I can use most of my systerm resources without the agent running.

Doesn't matter how fast or slow you are - it is the taking part that counts Life is not a race (unless I am behind )

[/] Ian is right. There was legal implications for an administrator that installed the distributed.net password cracker (to break the DES and RSA encryption algorithms) in his university computers. Not good.

Slayer, even were you to be working on point number 1 I would still clap my hands for you. The fact that you are contributing is what counts.
