I noticed that the pal box here shows the colors for admins and mods, is there something I can do to make mine do that? They all show up the same on mine. Thanks.

What stylesheet are you using. A couple of the stylesheets (frosted come to mind) have a "font" class which overrides this. Otherwise - it does this normally.

I am using alien, before I moved to 3.2 I had the mod that showed them on the bottom of the page (can't find it now ) and it showed the color codes for mods and admins.

In the CSS file

body,p,table,td,tr, font {

Remove the font like this:

body,p,table,td,tr {

That CSS setting for font color overrides threads color settings.

Hmm.. It looks like it's already gone in the alien.css, here is what it looks like:

BODY,P,TABLE,TD,TR { font-size: 11px; color: #ffffff; }

Yours is a bit goofy. Just looked at yours and you have this as your first line (2 body tags):

Body, FONT { font-family: tahoma, Verdana, Arial; font-weight: normal; background-color: ;}

Change to:

Body { font-family: tahoma, Verdana, Arial; font-weight: normal; background-color: ;}

Try it with a standard infopop stylesheet.... like infopop.css and see if you see the colors.

That stylesheet looked very jacked up compared to the one I downloaded from JC's site. So you may have an old version. But something (usually a misplaced font tag) in your stylesheet is overriding the text color.

That sheet works here - try it and see .... it's called "test" and the name colors show.

Next thing I'd double check is that you don't have any open tags (like an open font tag etc...) in your header etc....

Yup, and open tag will do it.

Should probably be </td>

You can fix that in the ubbthreads.tmpl file.

Thanks, that was driving me nuts! I also looked around for other open tags and didn't see any. The color problem still exists but I am glad to have that out of there.

You must have some other open tags around.

You might run your page through the validator at w3.org - that'll help you find any other invalid HTML.

I found the old mod I was using, Just Dave's Who's Online Box (which works fine with 6.3 btw) that places them down near the bottom and all the colors appear fine on that just not the pal box. Thanks for all of you help, the validator is an excellent tool that I was unaware of and I have already resolved a couple of other issues with it
