I'm a little puzzled...when I've gone to edit a post, the edit screen (I'm using facelift) has the usual markup buttons - bold, url, etc. - apparently available, but they don't seem to work. For example, I was editing a message to add in a relevant url that I had noticed, but when I pushed continue to have the edit accepted and go back to the showflat for the thread, the message did not have an active url showing, but rather the markup for the url...is this normal?

I had to go back and post a subsequent message to provide the active link (which worked).

If UBB.Code is enabled in the setup for that forum -
(Admin -> Edit or Delete a forum) Make sure you are allowing UBB Code.

And it would have had to have been enabled in that forum when the post was created.

And the B_Convert column would have to have been set appropriately for that specific post.

hmmm...Ubb code has been permitted in this forum, since before any posts were entered, so I don't think that's the problem.

I don't understand Dave_L's comment...what's the "B_Convert column", and how is it "set"? You mean the dropdown selection for code on the original post? Is that "B_Convert"? If so, I've always left them as the default, UBB, and this was a post of mine that I was editing...

Find the post number of the post having trouble... and run this Query.

SELECT B_Convert
FROM w3t_Posts
WHERE B_Number = xxxxxx


Put the number where I have xxxxxx
