If I remove a post Icon than a bad "X" is displayed instead of the image, is there a way to solve this ?

I was wondering: Can I remove IMAGE1.GIF and than perform a sort of query in MYSQL that replaces all IMAGE1.GIF with a IMAGE2.GIF ?

You could probably do that - but a quicker alternative would be to make a copy of image2.gif and rename it as image1.gif so no links were broken, but also it would now view image2.gif. Then just upload it to the correct folder.

I think the post icon function just reads all the icons in the directory... so if it's there, it'll appear as an option.

But a query like this would do the trick.

If it does then Josh's option is better - at times I like to try restrict the number of SQL commands - as one slip up could make a nasty mess of the tables - hence the reason why you should always back them up
