Hi folks,

I am setting up a small virtual college. I am using Moddle www.moodle.org for the classes.

Moddle can easily authenticate users by a pop or imap server, or ldap or most databases.

I hate it's forum system. And well even if it was better..it could never be threads!


I would like to be integrate the two...what I would really love would be for threads to operate inside moodle:)

So that when students click forums they get threads qnd all on one database.


I also considered using hivemail/threads integration...then authenticating Moddle via hivemail...then all students when enrolled would get college email and access to Moodle and threads with the same password.

Any ideas, suggests offers to do it and cost estimates?

Well not a Moodle/Hivemail integration. Moodle does have the ability to authenticate users from smtp or pop.

I assume that is what Hive Mail would do?

So then if Threads was integrated...

But I know little programming..

Moodle currently uses UBB as its discussion area

Any ides?
