I know I've done this before but I can't remember what I edited to make it work.
How do you change the closed forum message?
Instead of it saying "The forums are closed" I want to change it...
Thanks
Laura

Go to your admin panel. In the "include" section of the menu you'll find a link to "closed message". You can edit the message there. HTML ist also allowed.

Hmm very strange. I edited the includes and it's not updating my message. I have tried re-opening and closing the forums. Deleting and re-uploading the file... but it's not working.. Any ideas? Sorry, and thanks.

Does the file includes/closedforums.php get updated when you change the message from the admin page? If not, it could be a permission problem.

As an admin, you only get the notice "forums are closed" and not the message you provided for the users. Admins can browse the forums even if there are closed.

Yeah, if you logout you'll see the message in the includes folder.
