I have a fairly active board, and one that tends to generate problems. I've essentially gotten a core group of users to report things to me. Problem is that when I used classic, it worked differently, and the behaviour in threads is a big pita, and I was looking to see how I could modify the workings of the things so I can use them better.

1) Modify the subject to not be the subject of the thread, but say something like "3D Realms Forums Moderator Notification". Or at least stick [Mod Notify] in front of the subject - something I can key off of, and route them to a folder, AND keep my spam software from killing off the msgs - that too is a problem, since I can't tell it to key off of any one thing.

2) How do I allow folks to submit a reason why they're reporting it? Since going to threads, I've looked at them and gone "Well, why are they reporting this?" I REALLY relied on that tool in classic, and it's gone now for me. How can I get it back?

1) To get something in the subject I can key off of was simple. Modify donotifymod.php.

Look for this:

$mailer -> send_mail("$emailformat",$user['U_Email'],"$Email","$subject","$thismessage");

Make it say this:

$mailer -> send_mail("$emailformat",$user['U_Email'],"$Email","[Mod Notify] $subject","$thismessage");
