UBB.Developers Forums UBB.threads 7 Development How Do I? import database

Hi,
our forum has been running UBB.threads 6.2.2 for a while now with no problems at all, ive decided to upgrade it to 6.3.2, as its a busy forum i have left the old one running and installed a new one to a different directory and installed the hacks i want on it,

how do i import the database from the old forum onto my new install of the forum,

You should be able to .....

- change the name of the directory of the new install
- edit the main.inc.php and config.inc.php to update paths, urls and databases settings to the 6.2 database
- run the 6.2-6.3 altertable

That's it.... new forum should be in place.

can i not just change the database settings in the admin cp? and then run the converter?

just thought of that maybe might work
