I would like to know if there is a way to do this. I have some forums that are semi private. They are actually open to anyone as long as they give me their name and a valid email address. When we first opened, we didn't have the email validation on so alot signed up as anonymous and used a garbage email addy. I would like to make signup to them an automatic process where one would click on a link to register for them and fill out a form of some kind and have the email validated just like the registration process. I would like it to where they are automatically assigned to the new group when everything has been filled in and checked. I don't care if it shows up in their profile, I would just like to make a lookup link in the admin menu to find their real name etc if I needed to. I would like it to be completely automatic. Is something like this even possible?
