I am consolodating adn organizing my folders in my site. My Avatars were all stored in a rather odd spot and I wnt to move the folder.

My problem is changing the users profils to referrence the correct path.

Is therre a query I can run that will change part of the path so that the avatara will still work?

well if you could I would install PhPMyAdmin its really easy to install and allows for building of queries and such on the ease.. But unfortunately I don't think there is an easy way because all the person's avatars are probably named in their profiles as such /var/www/html/ubbthreads/images/?????.gif or http://www.yourdomainhere.com/ubbthreads/images/?????.gif so while you can do a change its not an easy one because its not the same.. I would suggest by hand...

You'll have to write a script to change the urls in the signatures and avatar fields. If you want to catch all possible links, you also have to scan all bodies for links to these pictures.
