I recently got suspended by my web host for using up too much processing power, so I am now trying to prune old messages off of my database to see if that helps any.
My problem is that the doexpire.php only works for one forum. It prunes that forum, but ignores all the other forums. I set up expire times in the config menu for all the forums, so I'm not sure what is wrong. I really need to prune my other forums but I don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What version?
You might search for this in the Threads forums over at community.infopop.net
I remember a bug report and fix posted there somewhere for the 6.3 doexpire where it was only expiring one forum.
I think somewhere an $sth had to be changed to $stj or something.
I'm thinking it'll be fixed in the next release.
