UBB.Developers Forums UBB.threads 7 Development How Do I? Replace Master Admin user entry with another Admin?

Ok . . . Originally, the UBB.threads license that is used on the HP site was purchased by another person some years ago when it was . . . well, whatever.threads it was before it was UBB.threads, I don't recall now. Anyway, that user was setup as the Master Admin account (User 1, I think?) for the forum software when it was installed. Since then, the license I bought is the one we've used, since his license expired and he disappeared and we haven't seen from him again.

What I want to do is basically switch my current existing Admin account to the the Master Admin account, and change all references to posts, PMs, threads, etc. that were based on the user number my account was to the new master admin account, so that I can take over the "Master Admin" slot rather than having this admin account around that's never used but still shows up on the forums, but retain all of my posts, PMs, info, and so forth.

Is there some simple way to do this that escapes me, or will this be terribly complicated and require many queries?

It's a bit complicated to change user numbers and I don't recommend it for anyone who doesn't have a real in-depth knowledge of all the tables and how it's all tied together.

Other admins are the same, with the exception that they can't edit that first admin.

What I usually do is use PHPMyAdmin to rename that first admin to "Administrator" or "HonorablePlayers" etc..... just some generic name and use it as needed.

But other admins can do everything that the #2 user can, (except edit/delete the #2 user).
