I'm pretty certain that this isn't as a result of something I've done but it is always possible!

On my site I allow users to upload their images. I protect my bandwidth by passing all images through a php file that checks the referring url and if it is listed it allows the image to load.

When the picture is uploaded it returns the following code:

ready to be copied and pasted into a post.

The problem is that when I now paste the code into a new post it just shows up as code. All the images loaded and posted whilst using the previous versions of threads still load ok, it's only new posts.

Is there some ubbcode verification that stops the php script from working?

The actual problem is that's a dynamic image. .threads doesn't allow that since basically that could be a script that would allow an offsite user to log all of your user's activitiy.

Rick - it still needs to have a .jpg or .gif extension so would that still be needed? Is there another form of image protection I could run?
