Since upgrading the subject line is obviously wider due to the last user post under the time of the post. When there are multiple pages per subject i.e. Pages 1,2 all - the page graphic is squashed under the subject title.

To make it look tidier, how do I:

a) Move the graphic and the page numbers down a little

or

b) Have the graphic and the page numbers on the same line as the subject topic

You can see how squashed it looks here

I have spent hours searching this site and I can't find the info so I have tried digging first.

Thanks

Not sure exactly what your goal is. Nothing looks squashed to me. But you could edit the postlist.tmpl file. If you want space between the subject and the page numbers, you'd have to add a <br /> between them.... which would make each row 3 lines wide. Which is probably too wide.

Or you could move them up next to the subject. Not sure if they will wrap though, so that would probably cause left/right scrolling.

Forgot to post - this is the part you're looking for:

{$postrow[$i]['pageprint']}

That's the page numbers.

If you look underneat the subjects Josh you will see that the page.gif icon is touching the subject text but on your site for example, that icon has a small space and isn't squashed in.

Do you not see the top of the page.gif icon touching the subject line/text above it?

Hmm... it looks the same as it does here. They don't touch for me. Just compared them side by side.

Not really sure how to get extra space in there. It might be an issue with your custom stylesheet. maybe try one of infopop's and see if that helps. If it does, at least we'll know what to look for you your stylesheet.

That little icon is new.... and probably could easily be removed if you'd rather not have the little page there.

I have 'Maximum length for subjects' set at 60 - could this be causing the page numbers to appear on a 2nd line? I tried changing it to 50 but nothing happens i.e. the page numbers just stay there underneath the subject.

That's where they are supposed to be. So the length wouldn't have an impact. But each line in the postlist is 2 lines due to the addition of the "last post" info.

Hmmmm.... do you think it's possible to get the page info on the same line as the subject which is what I have on my other version of Threads (not 6.4)? Maybe that would look silly. Dunno

Like I said, you could adjust the page number up, that might cause people to have to left/right scroll. - But unless you also remove the last poster info - it'll always be 2 lines. See the column to the far right, that extra link is new in 6.4, so it's got to be two lines over there.
