I will rehash the story for yuo to better understand.

I have a site and a friend of mine had a site. I was running threads with my wee site and he was runing classic on his. He has about 400 members and since mine is a more members exclusive type of place, I have about 50.

My friend "retired" and is no longer supporting his site and passed it on to me.

Now here are my list of wants

• I would like to integrate the two sites so that the members form my site and the mebers from his site can have access to both boards.
  
• Both boards have their own stylesheets, headers, formatting, etc.., I would like to keep the formatting.
  
• In the conversion process I dont want to lose any PM's or posts from any member.

I would like suggestions form all of you pro's out there as to a method to do this. I dont mind switching one or the other to threads or Classic or PHPBB for that matter; I just want something to allow me the integration to be possible.

Basically I want both sites content available to both member groups adn visible from the main page somehow. I am flexible if some of this is not probable.

Well with the way the posts and members are stored that is very hard. It is not like you could directly do it. You can not just integrate the user databases. If you converted the UBB board you will have many errors as there is no easy way to mesh your current board and the UBB board converted tables.

You will have multiple instances of users with the same U_Number and PosterID etc.

I suppose one could write a script to start the UBB member numbers at 51 on a conversion script PosterId etc but as Josh has posted time and time again here there are many many settings and tables to worry about and this is a tedious adventure to say the least.
