Just like the title, I simply want to get rid of a forum but not the content, simply want to move the content of one forum into another forum.

Near Impossible without some very complex scripts.

How would the script react when importing a member that already exists. How is it to handle post numbers if they already exist. There are so many variables.

I'm lost, not sure what post count has to do with anything, as an admin I can move one thread at a time to another forum, if that can happem I would think you could move an entire forum of threads to another forum, or am I missing something?

The Mass Move is what you need.
Not sure if it's been tested on 6.4 yet - so backup your database before you play.

I think you ment merging 2 boards...

He is talking about merging 2 forums, I think.

Basicaly, all you have to do is a MSQL query, something like this(just to give an idea, sql syntax not correct)

UPDATE w3t_Posts SET B_Board = newforum WHERE B_Board = oldforum

This will move all posts from oldforum to newforum.

Care will need to be taken to update totals in the Boards table as well as the last posters in the forum.
take a look at the scripts I posted for the queries that need to be done.

Josh, as far as I can tell this script worked perfect in 6.4.
