how do I turn on every possible avatar option?

I want users to be able to use stock avatars, link externally, or upload their own. Even when Im logged in as admin I only see two options, link externally or not have one. arggh.. I cant find the info in the docs.

You need to allow your users to upload to get the upload option.

In the admin panel set up your directory to upload to and set the permissions correctly.
