You don't, they need to be edited out of the templates.

Ok thanks for confirming that Im not crazy. Someone who lacked the knowledge said it was in the Admin panel.. I thought I was blind.  Can you point me to the mod? or does one exist? Thanks!

I too am interested in removing the Rating column from the templates. Is this the same as for 6.3? or are there new instructions?

1) Save your original postlist.tmpl, showflat.tmpl, and showthreaded.tmpl files -no, do it now... 2) Open up a copy of your original postlist.tmpl file and look for: <br /><td align="center" nowrap="nowrap" class="{$postrow[$i]['color']}" valign="top"> <br />{$postrow[$i]['Rating']} <br /></td> <br />and remove it. 3. Look for: <br /><!-- END OF LOOP --> <br /><tr> <br /><td colspan="8" class="tdheader" align="right"> <br />$pagejumpers <br /></td></tr> <br /> and change it to: <br /> <br /><!-- END OF LOOP --> <br /><tr> <br /><td colspan="7" class="tdheader" align="right"> <br />$pagejumpers <br /></td></tr> <br /> 4. Open up a copy of your original showflat.tmpl file.. Look for: <br />{$ubbt_lang['RATING']}: $ThreadRating <br /><br /> <br /> and remove it. Open up a copy of your original showthreaded.tmpl file. Look for: <br />{$ubbt_lang['RATING']}: $ThreadRating <br /><br /> <br />and remove it. Save and upload the edited templates to your templates/default directory -you're done

User Ratings are in the admin panel not Threads Ratings. You can specify to turn off user ratings in the admin panel. Thread ratings can be accomplished as Dalantech posted above.

Dalantech, I followed your instructions exactly, and the rating column disappeared, but there was a 'black' column for 'last post'. The column headers didn't adjust properly.

Yup, that's because I missed a table cell in the postlist.tmpl file, and the edit time has expired for posts in this thread so I can't change the origianl instructions. So, do this additional step in the postlist.tmpl file (backup first!!!). Find: <td nowrap="nowrap" width="5%" class="tdheader" align="center"><br /><a href="{$config['phpurl']}/postlist.php?Cat=$Cat&Board=$Board&page=$page&view=$view&sb=$sortrating&o=$o"><br />{$ubbt_lang['RATING']}<br /></a><br /> $RatingS<br /> <br /></td> and remove it. That should fix the alignment problem. Sorry, I should never post detailed instructions before coffee...

This alteration still leaves the "Rate This Thread" box on each post in showflat and showthreaded - this code is removed from showflat and showthreaded to eliminate that option.
