If you look at:

http://www.koptalk.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?Cat=

you will see a blue line at the bottom of each category which shouldn't be there. It should look like this format which appears fine:

http://www.koptalk.org/forums/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=koptalknews

I've searched all over this site but can't find the answer. I'm still a newbie so go easy

Also, someone showed me a screen shot of the forum not looking as it should to them. The far right column was black but I don't understand why? We have made minor changes but he shouldn't see what he does. We don't have any other skins either

Doh..something else:

http://www.koptalk.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?Cat=

when the main index is displayed, it is possible for the subject text in the far right column to be displayed in a smaller font? It looks bigger than my forum font on the left. However, looking at my CSS file, if I reduce that size (on the right), all the text from the forum posts shrink also.

Just been told it was the templates...

What templates would they be? The banner ad was missing before at the bottom since the upgrade but it's back now he has fixed it. However I have two sites with the same design and need to copy the edited templates over to the other server to reflect the changes he has made.

Actually, I beleive that place is controlled by 'cleartable' class in your stylesheet. You might want to set that color to white.

The text in the last post column, I think that's controlled by the 'posttime' class.

This will help you a bit:
http://www.infopop.com/support/ubbthreads/css_screens.html

Although there are a few things incorrect with it. It says cleartable is only used in the admin interface. But cleartable is really that clear box (which is blue on your forum).

I think all your issues are CSS related.

Or open ubbthreads.tmpl and remove

<tr>
<td colspan="5" class="cleartable"><img src="{$config['images']}/blank.gif" width="1" height="1" alt="*" /></td>
</tr>
