When someone makes a post it shows the red number marking it saying (1) in red. when I read the post and go back it still shows the number. Even when I go to my home and "make all post read" they still are there?

Have you tried clearing your browswer cache & cookies?

ya its doing the same for 2 other guys. its only open to 3 people for private use

weird. on 2 of the forums it takes the numbers away but on the rest it dont.

Do you have full news tracking set to yes??

ya. its a known bug.
on the infopop bug forums they posted this,

"Anyone that upgraded their live site to beta1 will have to run the queries I gave below. Anyone that didn't, when they do the upgrade from 6.3.2 to the next public release, they won't have the problem."

All I did was download the 6.4.1 vers and install it. I guess there is no fix for new installss of the beta ver.


I go to the menbers section and The only dl there now is 6.4.1 so I searching my hd desperatly looking for the 6.4 ver. I dont think I saved it.

You might write to Rick about that.... I'm sure they have it somewhere or other.....

The old files won't help you at all... the problem is with the indexes on your w3t_Last table.

Make sure you read this post:

Follow it all the way down, and if your w3t_Last indexes are messed up, clear out the table and recreate as instructed there.

But I did a new install. And both of those queries are there. I did notice that when a forum has more than 5 topics it seems to clear the new post count. But if someone posts a reply or opens a new topic it will show them all a unread again.
