I'm trying to do the upgrade from UBBT 6.2 -> 6.4 on my test site and have run into what I think is a IIS config problem.
The altertable-6.2-6.3 runs just fine. When I try to run altertable-6.3-6.4 I always get a CGI Timeout after executing for 5 minutes.
I went into Administrative Tools->IIS->Web Sites->Home Directory->Configuration->Process Options and changed the CGI script timeout setting to 999999 and rebooted the computer.
When I try to run the altertable again I still get a CGI Timeout after 5 minutes.
Is there somewhere else that I have to change the CGI script timeout setting to extend the amount of time I have to run this script?

I hate windows servers. So I don't know much about them. But you might check the max execution time in the php.ini file. PHP might be timing out. If you're running PHP as a CGI perhaps that error is misleading.

I have max_execution_time set at 600 in php.ini so that should buy me 10 minutes.
I guess I could try bumping it up real high like a did the CGI script timeout and see if that makes a difference.

To avoid these timeout issues, you could run the php script via the command line. All recent versions of php include a "php-cli.exe" that can be used for it.

I used the cli version and was able to get the altertable to complete. Thanks! Bill
