This url won't display as an image in the text of posts on Threads:

I don't know anything about php to understand why it doesn't. I appreciate any help.

That's a wanted behaviour. Your link isn't a link to an image, but to a php-script that will hopefully display an image after execution.
ubb.threads doesn't allow this kind of image linking, because it could be used to execute harmful php-scripts.
So all links to images with a "?" in the url won't be converted.
