ST Junior Member Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 160	Ssy in ignorance the admin or one of his assistants delted the group called "guests" while in the main server admin page that lists all the tables and their contents, not in the admin of UBB. ( I dont think its possible in the UBB admin of threads?) IS there a way to restore this group? I have V6.3 and when I try to make a new group called "guests" it tells me its alreaady there. But when I go into the config section of the admin page, the "Put new users in group..." does not list the group called "guests." Am I screwed or is there a way out of my misery?

and like I said, in the config settings, it does not show me guests as an option for new users so by default new users get an error displayed.

ST Junior Member Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 160	no thought aye? Well I THINK I figured it out. I copied a group selection from the tables of my backup site and overwrote the old one. I dont know if this is going to have odd repurcussions but it seems to be working right now.

Guests would not be an option on the new user page - the Guests group #4 is used for users who are not logged in. Users - #3 would be the default for regular users when they register, although you can define this to anything you like in the config. You can not manually add or remove users to the following groups: - Administrators - #1 - Moderators - #2 - Guests - #4
