When you change the number of parent posts per page, it lets you enter 99, but if you try 100 it gives the following error: "Invalid Posts per page."

Is this designed behavior, a limitation of the database field that is stored in, or is it a bug? I noticed it on my 6.3.1 board and it exibits the same behavior.

I'm not sure why it's limited. Probably the script would time out before it could ever display 100 posts. On alot of servers, on long threads, Threaded view can't even finish generating inside of 30 seconds. So it's probably to avoid some of the problems with the page timing out.

Although the database table is big enough, so if you wanted to try it, you could remove/adjust the check in the changedisplay.php file.

Don't you mean "behavior by design™"?

I love Microsoft answers.

"Designed behavior ™" is a running joke with CC at ubbdev, and others.

Ooh.

I was referring to a number of "answers to problems" I found on Microsoft's tech database years ago... They simply stated that it wasn't a bug, but "behavior by design". LOL
