hi..
I'm a new user of php (2 days ago) , i'm tring to connect to mysql from flashMX using PHP ,, and it WROKS fine ,,, but only on my machine ...
I tried to connect from other machine but no way .. i'm using :
mysql_connect("HostIP","my_name","my_pass");

but i can't reach my server (located on my machine) ..
Again i tried even to connect from my machine using my ip , but i dosn't work , only it works with "localhost" ..

SO please how to connect to a server using the IP address ,,, another thing is there any adjustments i should do with mysql which could cause the problem ...

It works with localhost most probably because you haven't allowed the remote machine to access mysql itself. You should read the documentation about granting access to remote machines in www.mysql.com (search for the GRANT command and the Adding Users topic). Once you add in the mysql database of your mysql server the remote machine's IP address and run FLUSH PRIVILEGES; (always do that since it will update the permissions) you should be able to connect to it.
