If I search for posts by a given user, it lists all posts and replies. All I want is to list all threads started by a user. How do I do it? Thanks

Let me explain the purpose.

We would like to reward some of the prolific members by making a button for each, clicking which should bring a page up listing all the posts (in the postlist format, not the current search format which lists all posts and replies).

Couldnt do this dor a simple reason that the search doesnt work that way. Any help? Thanks
