I would like to start a new site but want the message board to be the same as another board I have. Want a post made in one to show in both. Or to have what is posted in one show in both boards but what is posted in the other to show only in that one. Perhaps the only difference should be what shows on the IIP How? What are the options when running two boards with pretty much the same content and a different look and different IIP? I read ultimate nurse is using the same content in sites.

Hi!
The content is different, but all the sites use the same threads database so when someone posts it shows up in all of them, same goes for live chat.

The only thing to bear in mind is that AFAIK you cannot log into one, and then go to the other and still be logged in.
However I also run more than one 'site' but use sub-domains - site1.main.com, site2.main.com - in this instance the cookie just recognises main.com so all sub-domains work.
It would be nice to be able to have the cookie work for multiple domains - main.com, main2.com, main3.com etc.
Fans Focus - Focusing on Fans of Sport (Okay - mainly football (the British variety at the moment - but expanding all the time....)

I do the same thing. Especially since the site display options are in the templates, stylesheets and theme.inc.php files, you can have totally different looks for each one. You just need to have a license for each install on different domain names (either that or I have two more licenses than I need).

It's possible to come up with an authentication system that works with multiple domains. This will require some changes to ubb.threads, but it's possible.
