I running out of disk qouta for my forum server. What do you lads do when the server is getting full.

DO you delete the old posts?.
Or
You increase the sever space hence pay more monthly server rental?
Or
Some sort of archiving etc.

The best thing to do is get more space if you can. The other alternative is to delete any attachments on the FTP (userfiles folder) older than 3 months for example, because they can take up a LOT of room.

I personally wouldn't delete old posts if at all possible, but that's just me :-)

Prune garbage posts each month

(Heading Josh's reply off at the pass)

But given my site is a live Demo, I could prune twice a decade. That said, your staff and yourself should prune monthly. Alot of posts are not really worth keeping..

I use vertex host they have a great service. And good customer service the added beni is they have many threads users so it isn't foreign to them.

Also you might consider putting google AdSense to your site to gain some $ I am earning some extra $ from them to offset my hosting fees.

We're working on dedicated/semi-dedicated plans.

Some people here have "custom" semi-dedicated plans because they needed alot of space/bandwidth or wanted reseller capabilities to manage all their accounts. There's probably more hardware in our future soon.
