I was under the impression that depending upon which "Group" a member belongs to that the "Status" column in the "Who's Online" would reflect that. For example, I created a group called, "Supporters". I was expecting that the Status name would display "Supporter" for those usernames I put into that group. But they still show as "User".
1) What changes are made when you move a member into a different "Group"?
2) How can I change that "Status" designation to display the "Group" name?

The status is something else used internally by Threads - no public indication of groups is visible. You might try one of the user group status flag mods posted here.
I wouldn't fool with the "status" field in the database, just about every script is checking if they are an Admin, Moderator and User for one thing or another. So you could open up big security holes by fooling with it.
Instead, with something like the user group status flag mod you could display different text (rather than an image) to indicate their group. But I wouldn't alter the information.

Thanks Josh! I decided to go with the "Admin Selectable Ratings 2.5" hack and use a custom-made image. The hack installed flawlessly! It would be nice to have the dropdown menu labelled, e.g., Rating Images: or something similar. [] http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/grin-nod.gif[/] Jeff
