I have set up a forum where only admin can post but all can view and, using the Per-Forum Attachments Mod, made it my download forum.

When I go to upload a file (making sure it is an allowed type; .zip) it seems to work fine. When I try to use this attachment, it comes up as a bad page. I looked in my attachments directory and, sure enough, nothing new there.

Any thoughts?

Check the chmod of your uploads directory. Try 666, that's read, read, read, write, write, write.

Does the name of the attachment have any special characters in it's name? It hoses up uploads on my site all the time when they are like that.

I did 777 to be on the safe side... still doesn't work. I also renamed the file to test.zip. Still no go.

The weird part is it appears to upload (in the browser) but when I look in the directory via ftp, nothing is there but the initial test file.

FYI, I did this the initial time but tested it again. I used the Click to test directory. function in the edit config settings and it said the directory exists and can be written to.
