From what I hear - Googles database has been kind of "frozen" in some aspects as they may have done some cleanup to their listings for their IPO.
So 6.5 probably hasn't been out long enough to notice anything show up in the live google database though. Particularly if you're not already listed in Google.

Yeah, I met with some folks this last week on my recent trip - who told me that it was indeed possible that google was cleaning out the "junk" from listings - then "freezing" things so that they looked as respectable and as spam free as possible for the IPO stock launch. But this has screwed alot of people getting new content added.

I used to have atleast 5 - 7 indexing all the time but since I upgraded to 6.5 and enabled spider friendly url's, I only see one maybe 2 a few times a month.
for me it was a major drop.

Actually - rumor has it - Google has been kinda on hold since thier last "update".
I believe they spent some time prior to thier IPO cleaning out "junk" and spam from their listings, and haven't added anything new. This way they "looked" better for the IPO.
I know many people who have been screwed by the latest google update and "freeze". Hopefully things get back to normal soon.

Google burned 1.3GB last month on my little site. That's the main reason I went over bandwidth and switched hosts. The Google bots were only using 60-80MB before.

Id like to know what you are doing Like I said, I had , on average, 4 - 5 all the time. After I upgraded to 6.5 and enabled spider friendly url's I only see 1 or 2 a week

I am a new site, it has only been running for 3 months now. But for 2 of them, we have spiders on most days. I have been told it is partly due to the fact I pay for advertising on Google. Not much, about 50p (75cents) a day but this brings in between 4-5 visitors a day. But also, Google bot visits most of the time. I have also added Adsense now, this means I have at least one bot on all the time.
